Rocket Report

71,000 FFA members are in attendance at the National Convention with almost 55,000 of those being FFA student members. Thats 55,000 blue and gold FFA jackets walking around Indianapolis. Each jacket with the state listed at the top and the school at the bottom. It was overwhelming to see that many students all united for the same reason. It was also pretty moving when you are reading jacket after jacket and are seeing Alaska, New York, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico printed across the top and then you finally see an Illinois Jacket and realize it says Rock Falls at the bottom. I spent hours walking around visting vendors and participating in AG activities that it is nearly impossible to find anyone you are searching for because everyone is wearing the same outfit.

Special thanks goes out to Ms. Merriman and the seven students that made this trip. More info to come later but from my perspective this group is making the most of this experience.

Can you spot the imposter in English 4? 🤖📚

Mrs. Brunson’s students put a creative spin on argumentative writing today with a game of Among Us / Imposter! Each student was assigned a distinct persona, but one secret "AI robot" was hidden among them. Through strategic conversation and debate, students had to use their argument and reasoning skills to uncover the imposter! 🕵️‍♂️💬

A fun, hands-on way to master critical thinking and writing skills—great job, Rockets! 🚀💚🖤
