The Yearbook staff is made up of students enrolled in the Visual Communications class. Students enrolled in this class learn all things related to publications such as photojournalism, portrait photography and editing as well as layout design and copywriting. The class works together to select a theme and page topics as well as cover designs and promotions. Each student in the class is assigned at least one yearbook page to complete for the annual book. This unique class allows for students to work together in groups and individually to meet deadlines and create the much-anticipated publication for the entire student body. The class atmosphere is often described as “fun, but challenging” and students often remark that the class doesn’t feel like a class because of its unique purpose.
